Acousto-optic modulator
DEFINITION
Device using the acousto-optic effect to change the frequency of the light beam by means of sound waves, usually radiofrequency. It is used in pulsed lidars to create the pulse from the continuously emmited light by the laser source. Usually referred as Bragg cell. English
